... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 6 PM MDT this
evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central Colorado... east central Colorado... north
central Colorado and northeast Colorado. The watch includes
areas from the Front Range mountains and Mosquito Range eastward
to Weld... Adams... Arapahoe... Elbert and Lincoln counties.

* Until 6 PM MDT this evening

* widespread showers and a few thunderstorms will continue this
afternoon. General rainfall amounts are expected to be under
half an inch... but localized heavier rainfalls of an inch or two
over a couple of hours are still possible.

* Flash flooding of low lying areas... creeks and streams may
occur in a few locations again today. Rock and mud slides will
be possible in the foothills. If you live in flood prone areas
or will be traveling... stay alert to the latest warnings and
be prepared for rapidly rising water levels.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Be prepared to evacuate low lying areas and move to higher ground
should flooding develop or a warning be issued. Be aware of the
flooding danger today... stay out of flooded areas and do not
drive on flooded roads.
