The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
San Bernardino County in Southern California...

* until 430 PM PST

* at 131 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain falling across the warned area. Up to one inch of rain
has already fallen in the past three hours. Flash flooding will
likely begin shortly.

* Some locations that will likely experience flooding include...
San Bernardino, Fontana, Rialto, I-15 through the Cajon Pass,
Rancho Cucamonga, Muscoy, DeVore, Hwy 138 between I-15 and Hwy 2
and San Antonio Heights.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

heavy rain which will likely cause Urban and Small Stream flooding
in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will likely experience flooding include...
Anaheim, Riverside, Garden Grove, Ontario, Corona, Orange,
Fullerton, Chino, Yorba Linda, Buena Park, Chino Hills, Upland,
Perris, La Habra, Placentia, Stanton, Montclair, Norco, Woodcrest
and Lake Mathews.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...
turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

northwestern San Bernardino County in Southern California...

* until 430 PM PST

* at 1224 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
moderate to heavy rain which will cause minor flooding across
northwest San Bernardino County. Significant ponding of water,
overflowing of poor drainage areas and rapidly running washes will
result in minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Barstow, Fort Irwin, Daggett, I-15 between Victorville and Barstow,
Hwy 247 between Lucerne Valley and Barstow, Owl Canyon campground,
Newberry Springs, Trona, El Mirage, Lenwood, Searles Valley, Nebo
center and Helendale.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

I-15 and Hwy 2, Muscoy, Grand Terrace, Bloomington and San Antonio
Heights.

deaths occur in vehicles.

Move away from recently burned areas. In particular The Blue Cut
fire burn scar. The heavy rains will likely trigger Rockslides,
mudslides and debris flows in steep terrain, especially in and
around these areas.

Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a Wind
Advisory... which is in effect from 10 am this morning to 4 PM PST
Saturday.

* Timing... winds are expected to increase late this morning... peak
this afternoon through Saturday morning... then decrease Saturday
afternoon.

* Winds... southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts 35 to 45 mph
becoming west to northwest Saturday morning.

* Impacts... strong winds will create difficult driving
conditions... especially for high-profile vehicles. This includes
interstates 15 and 40 through San Bernardino County. Loose or
unsecured objects and temporary structures may be blown away or
damaged.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Check Road conditions before departing and be prepared for sudden
strong Crosswinds. Secure any loose objects or temporary structures.





Gale Warning

... Small Craft Advisory will expire at 10 am PST this morning...

* winds... southwest to west winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts to 25
kt... increasing to 25 to 30 kt with gusts to 35 kt this
afternoon through early Saturday. Winds will diminish quickly
Saturday afternoon.

* Waves/seas... combined seas 7 to 12 feet building to 12 to 18
feet this afternoon through Saturday... then seas lowering to 8
to 13 feet by Sunday.

* Outlook... another period of strong winds and large seas possible
Sunday through Monday... with winds possibly reaching gale force late
Sunday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
Harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
