Areal Flood Watch

... Flood Watch in effect from Sunday afternoon through late
Monday night...

The National Weather Service in San Francisco has issued a

* Flood Watch for a portion of western California... including
the following areas... coastal North Bay including Point Reyes
National Seashore... East Bay hills and the Diablo Range... East
Bay interior valleys... mountains of San Benito County and
interior Monterey County including Pinnacles National Park...
North Bay interior valleys... North Bay mountains... northern
Monterey Bay... northern Salinas valley/Hollister Valley and
Carmel Valley... San Francisco... San Francisco Bay shoreline...
San Francisco peninsula coast... Santa Clara Valley including
San Jose... Santa Cruz Mountains... Santa Lucia mountains and
Los Padres National Forest... southern Monterey Bay and Big Sur
coast and southern Salinas valley/Arroyo Seco and Lake San
Antonio.

* From Sunday afternoon through late Monday night.

* Heavy rainfall is anticipated to fall on already saturated
soils, elevated streams, and filling reservoirs.

* Impacts include enhanced runoff/flooding in low lying areas and
waterway, rising water levels/flooding in areal streams, creeks
and rivers, increased risk of mudslides in steep terrain, downed
trees and power lines, and damaged or washed out roadways.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Wind Advisory

... Wind Advisory remains in effect from 4 PM Sunday to 5 am PST
Tuesday...

* timing... Sunday afternoon through Monday night. Strongest winds
expected Monday and Monday evening.

* Winds... sustained southerly winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts of 40
to 50 mph.

* Impacts... gusty winds will make driving difficult especially for
drivers of high profile vehicles. Saturated soils will also
contribute to an increased risk of downed trees and powerlines
during these stronger winds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 35 mph and gusts of
45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra
caution. Winds this strong combined with saturated soils can result
in downed trees and power outages.

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
